Adrian Orzechowski.

Odesa. Ukraine. Diary 1944

These are extracts from the diary of Odesa resident Adrian Orzechovsky. In 1941 he witnessed the fighting, the bombing and later the occupation of Odesa by German-Romanian troops. In his notes he not only conveys a picture of the destroyed city, but also very sensitively describes the state of a peaceful man who witnessed the inhuman cruelty and dehumanisation of wartime society.
